A batch of Chinese green buses, manufactured by Higer Bus Company Limited launched in Quetta on July 17 to provide quality transport services to Local citizens.
The initiative which consists of eight buses, as a part of the government’s broader efforts, modernizing public transportation and promoting environmentally-friendly modes of travel.
According to Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Minister Balochistan, the green bus service will transform people’s commutes and provide them with a comfortable and eco-friendly mode of transportation.
The inter-city green bus service will operate on various routes throughout the city, including the Airport Road, Zarghoon Road, Sariab Road, and Balochistan University.
It will eventually expand to move between Saryab road, University of Balochistan and Airport chowk, with a total of 18 stops in all.
When it comes to the buses, it contains 41 seats and allow about 20 people to comfortably stand inside. A bus ticket for an entire journey will cost a total of Rs30.
Higer’ s green buses, delivered to Pakistan, have a special middle four-door design which meets the requirements of BRT traffic lanes in Pakistan and contributes to local public transport. Besides, the bus also has an attractive streamlined design, with a spacious and comfortable interior.
