Balochistan’s fisheries department and Turkish firm Tumas have signed an agreement to conduct a feasibility survey to build three jetties in coastal areas of the province.
Under the agreement, Tumas Turkish Engineering Consulting & Contracting Co will provide technical consultancy services for constructing modern jetties to promote fisheries industry in Ormara, Kund Malir and Jiwani under the Gwadar-Lasbela Livelihoods Support Project II (GLLSP-II).
A contract signing ceremony was held on Monday, attended by Turkiye Consul General Cemal Sangu, Balochistan’s Fisheries Secretary Kazim Hussain
Jatoi, GLLSP-II Project Director Rehmat Dashti, Tumas Project Director Mart Can, and other representatives from both sides.
