Gwadar Press Club, IIRMR ink MoU for journalism growth

In a major and first of its kind development, Gwadar Press Club (GPC) and Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR) have inked formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to put their action together for promotion of professional journalism as per new demands and to collaborate on addressing pressing issues of media practitioners.

This is a first time throughout Gwadar Journalism history that Gwadar Press Club has signed MoU with a Think Tank and media related organization.

The groundbreaking MoU has been inked in a ceremony held at Gwadar Press Club. Institute of International Relations and Media Research (IIRMR) President Yasir Habib Khan and Gwadar Press Club President Noor Mohsin signed the MoU accompanied by Gwadar Press Club general secretary Suleman Hashmi and other senior office bearers.

Both GPC and IIRMR vowed to work for Journalists’ capacity building programs, joint media Research Plans and to coordinate events like seminars/ conferences.
They also plan to hash out exchange programs for media persons and arrange journalists’ tours to significant diplomatic and media places. Expressing commitment, GPC president Noor Mohsin said that MoU will allow GPC and IIRMR for initiating cooperation and partnerships on new media trends. IIRMR president Yasir Habib Khan announced for launching journalists’ welfare initiatives and and other areas of mutual interests.
Given the MoU both parties will provide logistic, intellectual and rest of support to each other on mutually agreed terms.
