JA Solar inks MoUs on module supply in Pakistan

China’s leading photovoltaic supplier, JA Solar, signed three MoUs with Garibsons, SM Solar, and Wasiq Traders in Pakistan. JA Solar will collaborate with these local companies to promote Pakistan’s green and low-carbon energy transformation.

According to the agreement reached during Solar Pakistan 2024, JA Solar will provide Garibsons and SM Solar with 200 MW PV modules to promote the use of renewable energy, reduce dependence on traditional energy sources, and contribute to the green and sustainable development of energy in those companies.

Wasiq Traders is a trading company and importer of PV modules and inverters, with PV module imports ranking first in Pakistan. The company plays an important role in trading various commodities and has established an extensive business network with international suppliers and customers. As JA Solar’s distributor in Pakistan, it will introduce JA’s products to local market to promote the development of local PV industry.

JA has officially entered the n-type product market since the release of its first n-type module product in 2022. To meet the market demand for high-efficiency n-type products, JA Solar launched its n-type high-efficiency DeepBlue 4.0 Pro module series in 2023, based on 182mm*199mm rectangular wafers. The 2465mm*1134mm (72-cell) flagship module has a power output of up to 635W with 22.8% efficiency, making it the highest power product among the current 182 series modules on the market.

The n-type flagship modules feature high power generation, high efficiency, and high reliability. In terms of reliability, the DeepBlue 4.0 Pro series has been fully recognized by international authorities in a variety of application scenarios. It features additional advantages, including resistance to salt spray, ultraviolet radiation, humidity, and hotspots, resulting in enhanced reliability and resistance to harsh weather conditions. It can meet the needs of the Pakistani market for high-performance photovoltaic products.
