Statue of Mir Chakar Azam Installed in Gwadar

In a move that pays homage to the rich history and culture of Balochistan,  Gwadar Development Authority has installed a statue of Mir Chakar Azam Rind, a revered leader of the Baloch nation from 1468 to 1565 AD.

The statue was unveiled on Wednesday by the Director General of Gwadar Development Authority, Mujibur Rehman Qambrani, in front of the GDA office along with Padizar Park on the main highway Marine Drive.

The installation of the statue marks the significant contribution made by Chakar Azam Rind, who helped the Mughal emperor Humayun regain control of the subcontinent. He is also regarded as a folk hero of the Baloch people, and his legacy lives on through his important place in Baloch history.

The Gwadar Development Authority hopes that the installation of the statue will serve as a reminder of the important role played by Baloch leaders like Chakar Azam Rind in shaping the history and culture of Balochistan. The statue is expected to become a popular tourist attraction in Gwadar, drawing visitors from all over the world who are interested in learning more about the rich cultural heritage of the region.
