CM Punjab, delegation off to China on 5-day visit

The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, along with a high-level delegation, left Lahore for Beijing on a five-day visit to China on September 17. Mr. Cao Ke, the Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Lahore, bid them farewell at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, expressing good wishes and considering the visit as a step towards strengthening the Pak-China relationship. 

The delegation included provincial ministers like S.M Tanveer, Aamir Mir, Syed Zafar Ali Nasir, Abrahim Hassan Murad, Chief Secretary, and Secretary Finance. During the visit, the Caretaker CM will meet with members of the Chinese business community, investors, industrialists, and high-ranking officials.

Before departing for China, CM Naqvi mentioned at the airport that the IT sector presents various opportunities for partnerships, especially with Chinese businessmen. He expressed his intention to seek Chinese support in addressing agricultural challenges and combating pollution and smog in Punjab. He also indicated potential collaborations between agricultural universities and colleges in Punjab and their counterparts in China. He assured that he will work towards achieving concrete and sustainable results from the visit without any unnecessary delays.
