Five tech colleges in Sindh launch Sino-Pak dual diploma programs

Five technical colleges in Sindh province have offered admissions in diploma programs recently in various advanced technologies in collaboration with Chinese educational institutions.

Government Polytechnic Institute (GPI), Mithi, in collaboration with Pingdingshan Polytechnic College, has invited applications for 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) program in Coal Mining Technology.

Mithi is headquarters city of Tharparkar district, home to multibillion dollar coal mining and electricity generation projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.

Similarly, GPI Dadu has offered admissions in DAE Computer Information Technology in collaboration with Hebei Professional College of Political Science and Law.

In addition, Government College of Technology, Larkana, has announced DAE Civil (Land Survey and Management) in collaboration with China’s Jiangxi College of Applied Technology.

Also, Government Mono-technic Institute, Mehrabpur has launched DAE in Electrical Automation Technology jointly with Yanti Vocational Technical College.

Moreover, GPI Sukkar, in collaboration with the prestigious Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower, has launched DAE in Electrical/Power Technology (Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Engineering).

Last date of submission of admission forms for these programs is September 30. The students will study in Pakistan for two years, and will head to China for third year on scholarships by Chinese government.

These programs will unlock the doors to international education for Pakistani students and will also equip them with skills necessary for promising career in Pakistan, particularly in CPEC projects.

The students will also gain cross-cultural experiences and access to diverse job opportunities on a global scale.
